Give your heart, not herpes!
In light of Valentine's Day, today was our monthly condom distribution day in the student union on campus. We make a point to have one before V-Day - because Hallmark Cards don't really do it for protection. There was the usual parents pointedly standing in front of our table when they were touring with their kids (because apparently reading the word condom is enough to make them do it on the union's floor), the "I don't use them" from people who should know better.

However, this is the first time we've ever had high school students come up and request a picture with someone holding a condom. A picture taken with all the accompanying titters and secret terror at touching the forbidden fruit.

I have yet to decide if this horrifies or amuses me more.

EDIT: Oh, and other awkward thing! I'm at the table, wearing my pro-choice *and* rainbow stuff. Old High School Acquaintance Who Is a Fundie Christian walks by, stops, does a doubt take, than shouts out my (old) name. I attempt to not look mildly shocked and engage in brief conversation that ends with a possible Facebook friending. Under a name I don't go by. Awk-ward!
